About us

Once upon a time….that is how fairy tales normally start, but our story is not a fairy tale or a fiction, it is the real life of 2 cousins, born and raised in Ceutí, a small village in the southeast of Spain, being best friends rather than family members.

Our lives took different paths when we got into teenage years after moving both to different locations to study at college and look for our passions in life, although it was not as easy as we thought and failure was needed to find the right way to what we were really looking for our lives. I chose banking and Teo tourism but after some years and many disappointments we realized that our jobs more than providing us the professional happiness we both were seeking for desperately they were just absorbing our energy and motivation so it was crystal clear we needed a dramatic change in our lives.

Since we were born we share a common passion for food and nature, being Teo more connected to wilderness and in my case to edible matters. We have the same thoughts about them both, about their future and importance for our survival as species and about our actives roles and responsibilities in the future of our planet.

We knew society feeding needs are changing very fast in the last decades, specially last one, and more and more consumers are very concerned about traditional life style, the raise of processed food, the additives included indiscriminately to products and the usage of poisoning pesticides and transgenic seeds to increase the crops forgetting the utmost important fact which is the health of consumers.

In June 2017 at an informal catch up meeting after 1 year without seeing each other, the seed of International Superfood Company was planted in Murcia. It hasn’t been an easy path, we have faced many difficulties under a lot of stress, making big sacrifices to achieve our dream of feeding the world with organic, ecological, healthy products respecting nature an working very close to producers, standing up for their rights and supporting their prosperity, cause they are as important or probably much more than us in the pursue of our goals as planet earth inhabitants in search of a sustainable and better world.

Thanks to our families, supporters and good food lovers cause without them our dream would still be an aspiration rather than the reality in which has been turned into.

ALFONSO

Born and raised in Ceutí and Murcia, I grew up in the country side surrounded by apricot trees, flock of sheep and humble and hard working people. I moved to Madrid when I was 18 years old to study law and business administration, and afterwards I started a career in banking.

After more than 10 years working as a risk analyst for one of the 3 biggest retail banks in the world I realized I was very unhappy and fed up with my job so I quit it and took the best decision I have ever taken and also accomplished one of my dreams which was travelling solo around the Asia during a whole year with my backpack.

This trip ended up being the most amazing experience of my life, not only did it bring me inspiration but also fresh air and a reconnection with nature. It has definitely broadened my mind, allowing me to meet very interesting people, living incredible adventures and taste delicious local food.

I’m no more than a passionate foodie and avid traveler who just want to make the world a little better place than I found it and to leave a legacy to future generations.
